Comfort Kills Performance.

Comfort in trading, kills my performance.

What kind of comfort I tend to?

  1. ASII and BMRI, both are big caps, so the next big cap like PGAS will have the same squat behavior. WRONG!
  2. ARNA full R, squat. ASII full R. squat. Then the next winner like ALDO only got allocated half the risk, then only half the reward. WRONG! The reward from ALDO cannot pay for the risk. Remember how Larry William’s daughter beat others using the same strategies. His daughter bet same size while others allocate many to losers and little to winners.
  3. Choosing AALI and LSIP, thinking in commodities after coal rally in ITMG, ADRO, etc. Practically I didn’t generate alpha by doing this type of action. I’m late. Remember. We’re all looking at the same name.

Mentally there are three deadly trader traps:

  1. Emotions. Causing you to do things that are irrational.
  2. Opinions. Forming a rigid idea that limits your visions and limit your perceived options.
  3. Ego. Keeping you from admitting and correcting mistakes.
